Collagen Induction Therapy (CID) is performed using micro incisions to create micro-wounds in the dermis. This treatment allows your body's own PRP to be driven deep into the skin. The micro-wounds trigger the body to produce new collagen and elastin and increase the skin's ability to utilize nutrients by up to 3000%. The results are improved skin texture and a reduced appearance of wrinkles, stretch marks and acne scars.
CID is a minimally invasive procedure that aims to treat scar tissue, lax skin, wrinkles, and large pores by increasing collagen production. It sounds scary—and it does involve needles piercing the skin—but the needles are very fine and short, and only mildly uncomfortable. And the advantages of the procedure greatly outweigh the disadvantages.
Our staff will provide instruction on post treatment skin care and establishing a quality skin care regimen.

We begin the procedure by drawing your blood. This is done in our clinic by a certified phlebotomist.
Your blood is then spun in our centrifuge to separate your red blood cells. During this time we apply our special prescription-grade numbing cream to your face.
The separated platelet-rich plasma is then brushed onto your face to create a mask. We then use our sterile 10-point micro needle to prick your skin with the PRP.
You may feel pressure at the needle site and some tingling. We use our unique blend of prescription quality high-potency numbing medication to make you comfortable during the procedure.
Your face will be red afterwards, but you can return to work the same day.
We recommend 3-4 treatments spaced 4-8 weeks apart, depending on the goal you discuss with your nurse practitioner. After initial treatments we recommend a maintenance treatment every 6 months to a year.
