Platelet rich plasma hair restoration can stimulate hair regrowth in areas where you experience thinning of hair or hair loss. It increases blood supply to the area leading to hair follicle regrowth. We use prescription-only numbing cream on the scalp to prevent pain during the injection process.
The procedure itself is a three-step process. First, your blood is taken in house and spun in our centrifuge machine. This separates your blood into three layers. We then extract the platelet-rich plasma layer from the blood sample. Micro injections of PRP are delivered in a grid-pattern across the thinning hair area. There is no down-time to this procedure and you can return to work in the same day.
Most PRP treatments require at least three treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. The procedure is done by our board certified nurse practitioner with extensive knowledge and experience in PRP itself and hair regrowth injections. Call us today to book your first hair regrowth treatment in Littleton!

Hair regrowth with Platelet Rich Plasma at Foothills Integrated Health in Littleton, CO
We begin the procedure by drawing your blood. This is done in our clinic by a certified phlebotomist.
Your blood is then spun in our centrifuge to separate your red blood cells. During this time we apply our special prescription-grade numbing cream to your scalp.
The separated platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the areas where you want hair regrowth treatment. This is done with small injections done in a grid-like pattern.
You may feel a tingling or slight pain at the injection site. However, we use our unique blend of prescription quality high-potency numbing medication to make you comfortable during the procedure.
Your scalp will become tender as the numbing medication wears off, but you can return to work the same day.
We recommend 3-4 treatments spaced 4-8 weeks apart, depending on the goal you discuss with your nurse practitioner. After initial treatments we recommend a maintenance treatment every 6 months to a year.
